Program Description

Community Development includes the following staff departments:

Budget Statement

The proposed budget for this department provides staff and regulatory boards with the necessary tools for the management of growth and development in Provincetown. The department continues its process of implementing permitting software to ease user-friendliness and streamline operations across all divisions. The Department recently changed permitting software vendors in 2020 to promote largely online permit and license application processing.

The fiscal year 2022 proposed personnel budget follows the union and nonunion compensation plans, and is consistent with the previous fiscal year.

The fiscal year 2022 proposed operating budget includes additional budget requests for the following: funds to lease a new color copier/printer for the department.
